Hi there! I am so excited to learn more about you and honored to be a part of your health and healing journey. Before we get started, here’s a bit more about me and my background.

I grew up in a family of doctors and nurses. Even though I graduated with a BA degree in chemistry and became an analytical chemist, performing third phase testing for large pharmaceutical companies on several occasions, I quickly decided to not follow my family’s footsteps and deviated from the world of Western medicine to pursue holistic and alternative approaches for health and wellness.

That’s when I learned that many, many years ago (maybe a century ago), my ancestors were herbalists who practiced homeopathic medicine. Maybe it was fate?

Ultimately, my personal health journey got me here - It started the very first month I arrived in college. I knew something wasn’t right. I stopped getting my periods and something felt off with my body. Throughout the next several years, I experienced several life-threatening allergic reactions from Western medications outside of severe side effects. So I started looking for alternative ways to heal my body starting with IBS symptoms, at the time, not knowing that IBS is tied to PCOS and that the nervous system needed to be treated in addition to the digestive system. My curiosity grew when I took a comprehensive and alternative medicine course at the University of Pennsylvania and was reminded of the power of natural remedies.

After seeking help from many conventional medical professionals and specialists for headaches, chronic pain, inflammation, and unexplained elevated white cell count, I turned to holistic remedies due to the lifestyle and daily stresses as a modern woman. I noticed that there was so much misinformation online, and it was overwhelming to figure out what to believe or trust. For the past few years, it became very clear that other people were in the same position and seeking alternative approaches to health and well-being.

After experiencing Panchakarma treatments for my own health issues and saw how effective it was at treating inflammation and many other health issues, I decided to learn Ayurvedic medicine and other holistic approaches and received my certification in Ayurvedic Medicine. I am a Board Certified holistic health practitioner by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. In addition, I am the founder and owner of Roses and Azalea, a cosmetics brand that formulates and handcrafts organic personal care and beauty products.

Educating, coaching, and mentoring others has been an important part of my life. With over 20 years of experience, I have worked with a variety of clients, including those with neurodivergence and those who have experienced abuse or trauma, in varies settings - schools/education, youth shelters, hospitals, small businesses, private residences, and more. I combine my knowledge in alternative medicine, trauma, different education methods to coach others on getting “unstuck,” setting goals, building confidence, overcoming challenges and making progress, living more authentically, and finding inspiration to live a fulfilling life. In addition, my husband and I will soon become licensed in the highest level of therapeutic care as foster parents to serve local 7-11 year olds and their families.

Giving back to the community is very important to me. I am a member of Junior League of Charlotte, volunteer at various local organizations including Promising Pages and Second Harvest Food Bank, serve at my home church, and have supported organizations in various capacities such as Compassion International, Samaritan’s Purse, and Foster Village Charlotte. I often educate others in the community on how to grow vegetables and fruits in a sustainable, suburban garden and to provide a Monarch butterfly waystation. Between August and October, I invite neighbors and families with kids all over Charlotte to release Monarch butterflies that she raises in her garden.
